OPI Are We There Yet?

I didn't buy too many polishes from the OPI Touring America collection but when I spied this one in real life I couldn't resist an impulse buy.

It is a beautiful peach-tinged orange, which I am an absolute sucker for.

There is also the tiniest hint of gold shimmer reflecting throughout the polish. Could it have drawn me in any more?!

I am very angry that these photos do not do it any justice at all. It was far too superior to allow itself to be photographed correctly, hah.

OPI Nicki Manji: Pink Friday & Fly

I just got two polishes from the recently released Nicki Manji collection.

Pink Friday is the perfect Barbie pink. I think it is so hard to get an original or unique pink and whilst this probably isn't a unique shade, there is just something about it that I love.

Formula wise, Pink Friday was very thick and incredibly opaque after just one coat. I did 2 for the photos but really you would have no problem leaving this as a one-coater.

Fly surprised me. I really wasn't sure if I would be that keen on it, but I actually love it! It's definitely a blue creme but there is a dash of green teal in it as well.

Formula wise, Fly was the polar opposite of Pink Friday. It was really thin and watery. I thought this would cause trouble but Fly surprised me once again by being fine after 2 coats. However, you do need 3 coats to completely eradicate VNL.

Have you picked up any shades from this collection?

Benefit Bella Bamba

Bella Bamba was actually my first boxed blush from Benefit.

It's a warm pink, often described as a watermelon coloured blush. Although it looks quite bright in the pan, it does go on a lot lighter. It is also a shimmery blush but I feel that it is still wearable as it is not laden with shimmer.

Top swatch is a heavy swatch and bottom one is just a light wash of colour.

As you can see, you can really deepen the blush if you want. Yet, because it initially goes on quite light and is buildable, I feel it makes it a very versatile blush.

Do you use any of the Benefit boxed blushes? Which is your favourite?

Happy beginning of the weekend everybody! I'm going up to Dublin with friends for the weekend, plenty of shopping to be done :)

Today I have another selection of random swatches, this time in blue. Once again some of the pictures are old and so some pictures are blurry and/or I have appalling nails. My previous set of swatches in purple are here.

Catrice Hip Queens Wear Blue Jeans

China Glaze Towel Boy Toy

Essence Shocking Blue

Essence Pool Party

Essence Blue Ray

Out of all the blues shown today I have to say my favourite are the last 3 Essence ones!

Chanel June

I got so excited when I saw the 3 new nail varnishes from Chanel's S/S '12 collection. I knew straight away that June was the one I really wanted so I bought that first. I'm definitely going back for April, which is a raspberry pink. May doesn't seem like anything special yet, so I'm not sure about that one.

June is a beautiful dark peach. This is 3 coats. I adore this colour, it's even better in real life than I thought it would be.

Wear time was really good. I applied it the day after I got it and wore it for 5 days with no chips at the end of it. And those particular days at work would have been very strenuous on my nails. To be honest I've never had a problem with Chanel nail varnish chipping so I really can't understand the whole thing about Chanel varnish chipping in practically 5 minutes?!

Have you bought anything from the new Chanel collection?

Essence Blue Addicted

It's the first of February:D Getting closer to Spring Time!

Ah, Essence Blue Addicted. This caused quite a stir when it was first discovered. Look at how preeettty it is!

This is 2 coats of it layered over 1 coat of Rimmels Black Pearl and a sponged layer of Rimmels Blue Vogue.

I actually used this in my 31 Day Nail Challenge as part of my Galaxy Nails but I thought it was so stunning it deserved it's own individual recognition!
