butter London Trout Pout

Trout Pout was released with butter London's Spring 2012 collection. There were some great polishes in that collection but it was Trout Pout that instantly drew my attention.

It's a bright, salmon coloured pink.

It applied perfectly and I feel that it just looks so finished and classy. Love it!

Collective Haul: February 2012

This month was a fairly heavy buying month mostly, nail varnish.
Most of the make-up items that I got were earlier in the month and were featured in this post.

My excuse for all the nail vanish you're going to see?....new collections and they ALL called to me. What's a nail polish addict to do?

China Glaze Electropop collection. The 'Lights' part.

L-R Fuchsia Fanatic, Dance Baby, Electric Beat, Kinetic Candy, Sweet Hook and Gothic Lolita.

Most of the OPI Holland collection. I absolutely adore this collection and I think I'll get the final 3 as well. I've never being more in love with a collection.

L-R I Have A Herring Problem, Dutch Ya Just Love OPI, Pedal Faster Suzi!, Red Lights Ahead...Where?, Did You Ear About Van Gogh?, Gouda Gouda Two Shoes, Thanks A Windmillion, I Don't Give A Rotterdam and Vampsterdam.

Some miscellaneous nail varnish I picked up.

L-R Butter London Trout Pout, OPI Bikini Envy, Venus di Violet, Fly, China Glaze pull Me Close and Magnet, Essie A Crewed Interest, Go Overboard, Navigate Her and Van D'go.

And I still managed to pick up some more make up stuff!

L-R Bioderma Créaline H2O, Boscia Black Mak, Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait, Nars Eyeshadow in Lhasa and Maybelline Falsies mascara.

Phew! That was way too much spending this month. Definitely not buying much for the next few months!

Collective Haul: December 2011

This post is a collective haul for December of products that I bought myself, no Christmas presents included!

The OPI's
L-R Are we there yet?, Rainbow Connection, Smitten with Mittens, Ginger Bells, Electric Eel, Fiercely Fiona, Chop-sticking to my Story and Spark de Triomphe.

The last 3 were in a set that I got in TK Maxx. I got all 3 for €16.99 which is a bargain. They seemed to have a random selection of ones but the containers weren't sealed shut so I think people were just picking the ones they wanted and putting them into the container as some of them had 2 of the same colour! Check out your local TK Maxx to see if they still have some.

Hair Products
Bumble and Bumble Curl Conscious and Brilliantime

I suppose technically these should be under my Christmas presents as I bought them in Peter Marks with a giftcard but oh well. Also all Bumble and Bumble products are currently 50% off in Peter Marks!

Face products
Catrice Perfect Resist Foundation and Prime and Fine Primer.

I needed a new primer and I had ran out of foundation and didn't want to get a very expensive foundation as I'm going to be buying the new Chanel one when it's released soon. I'm also hoping that this foundation turns out to be amazing and that I don't need to go spend a ridiculous amount of money on Chanel's one!

Glossybox Products
So I technically did pay for these...I just didn't know what I'd be getting! Part of it included this mini Deborah Lippmann polish in Razzle Dazzle and a Nouveau mascara.

Misc. Nail Polish
Illamasqua Raindrops, butter London The Black Knight, Essie Cocktail Bling and Essence My Sparkling Acrobat.

butter London - The Black Knight

The Black Knight is my first polish from butter London. This particular polish is part of their Holiday 2011 collection. It is a gorgeous black based multi-glitter opaque polish. The glitter is mostly purple but with a fair scatter of pink, gold and surprisingly blue. The pictures show two coats.

It is a gorgeous polish and because it is black based I feel that it is a more muted glitter as opposed to boom in your face glitter.

I have just applied it today so I can't comment on wear time just yet. Application was alright. I felt that the consistency of the polish was kind of thick and sticky. Perhaps it was because it was a glitter polish. I will still definitely try some other shades.

Have you tried any butter London polishes? Any recommendations?
