Wet n Wild Trios No. 334 'I'm Getting Sunburned" E.O.T.D.

This was the first of the Wet n Wild Trios that I tried out. I was really excited to get my hands on these when  I was stateside as the Wet n Wild trios/palettes are frequently mentioned and raved about on blogs and youtube. So how did I fair with 'I'm Getting Sunburned'?

The pigmentation of the shadows are very strong.

To get this look I;

1. Applied Urban Decay Primer Potion in Eden all over lid.
2. Used the palette colour as intended - lid, crease and brow.
3. I used the crease colour on the lower lash line.
4. Maybelline Gel eyeliner to tightline and line upper lash line.
5.Sephora Jumbo liner in Beige on inner lower lash line.
6.Lancome Hypnose Drama mascara.

When I first began using this trio, I just thought this is crap. I honestly felt like I had never put on eyeshadow before. It just felt really hard to work with and really hard to blend out. And the fallout...it was ridiculously bad.
Despite all that, it eventually worked out and became somewhat presentable. Surprisingly I got a lot of compliments the day that I was wearing it!

I will wear it again because the end result is good but the sheer effort that has to go into making it look like that is off-putting. It's not going to be the first thing I'll grab so it is going to be sent to the back of the drawer for a while!

Update - I'm Back!!

Hello everybody!

Wow I've missed blogging so much, I'm so excited to be back in the blogging world! I was going to wait until September to start blogging again but to be honest I was getting impatient!

I returned to Ireland about the middle of August so that has given me some time to think about what I want to do with the blog. I'm still not too sure what exactly I want to do with it but I do know that I want to create some kind of routine or flow with the blog. I think the best thing for me to do is just to start blogging again to get back into the habit of it and then hopefully I will have a clearer idea of what I want to do.

I hope everybody has had a good summer, wherever in the world you are. I was fortunate enough to spend my summer working and living with friends in glorious San Francisco, California and I can honestly say that I had the best summer of my life!
I found the atmosphere in San Francisco to be so chilled out and relaxed and friendly. There was great shops, beautiful parks to spend a sunny afternoon and the most amazing nightlife ever. We could find a different vibe wherever we went.

Of course I wouldn't be a beauty lover without going to America and checking out some of the brands that the US bloggers are always raving about, but which we have difficulty getting here. I'm looking forward to showing and reviewing some of the things I got which includes nail varnish as well as make-up.  Sephora was a regular haunt as was Walgreen's which no joke had a store located every few feet! I really miss the wide variety of products available and all at such ease to get. I understand that it can't be the same here because we just don't have the same sheer volume of people to buy the products, but I can't help but long for the vast aisles of cosmetics and the availability of high-end products! And the food! The most amazing health food options and vegetarian options as well as scrumptious desert like food!

I think it's fitting to end this post with a few pictures that I took of beautiful San Francisco!:)

No idea where this was, we were lost!

The firework displays on the 4th of July were amazing!

So that is literally just a quick snapshot of my summer.  This was just a little 'I'm back!' post and tomorrow I'll have a proper post up!
