Essie Sexy Divide

This seriously is a sexy colour. Released most recently with Essie's Dive Bar collection in late 2011, Sexy Divide is one of my favourite purples.

A deep, rich, velvety purple complete with intense shine.

Two more words. Love it.

OPI Do You Lilac It?

OPI'S Do You Lilac It? is the ultimate pastel purple shade. Favoured by many as a Spring/Easter themed colour, wearing this shade never fails to bring a smile to my face:)

What's your favourite pastel purples?

Barry M Berry Ice Cream

Cheap and cheerful, I love Barry M nail varnishes. This is Berry Ice Cream and it a very pretty light purple shade. Maybe just a tad darker than a pastel.

Application was spot on and this was two coats I believe.

A Little Bit Of No7 Love!

Ah those wonderful No7 vouchers that Boots are so fond of giving out. I got so many around January time and ended up getting all nail varnish with them. Here are some of my favourites.

Vivid Violet.
A beautiful royal purple. No blue tint.

Tangy.
 A delectable bright orange.

Totally Teal.
A moody darkened teal. Kind of grungy.

Highland Mist.
Darker than your usual nude but not yet a pink. Unusual looking but elegant.

Do you usually avail of the No7 vouchers or do they remain crumpled at the bottom of your purse until you find them months after expiry? This used to happen me a lot hah!

31 Day Nail Challenge - Day 12

Day 12

Stripes today! I chose these two pink and purple pastel colours as I felt that they gave a kind of 80's vibe..... No? Just me so!

The purple is Barry M's Berry Ice Cream and the pink is Catrice's Sweets For My Sweet.
You may notice that on some nails I did vertical stripes and on the others I did horizontal ones. no reason in particular, just felt like it.

I liked the way this turned out because it's quite a soft look. I like that it's easy on the eye and that it's not harsh colours and stripes. Peaceful one might say.

31 Day Nail Challenge - Day 11

Day 11

Today's nails are polka dots! I know my post on Sunday also included polka dots but who doesn't love dots?
I did these ones with a dotting tool to get precise circular dots.
The base coats I used is an old Claire's polish that I've had for years but it doesn't have a name on it. It's a deep jewel purple. For the polka dots I used a Sally Hansen HD polish in DVD, it's a blue-purple with lots of shimmer.

What I used:

L-R
Sally Hansen HD in DVD
Claire's in No Name
