Nail Polish Removers

You all know that I am a nail polish addict. So it stands to reason that I change my polish quite frequently. Here's the ones that I am currently using.

First up is the most recent one I’ve gotten. It is the Bourjois 1 Second remover. It is a pot with a nail polish soaked sponge in it that you basically stick your finger in and when you take it out the polish is gone. Is it as a straightforward as it claims to be? Yes. I find I have to twist my finger a couple of times for it to come out polish free but it does work very well, leaving your nail very clean. It works surprisingly well for slight glitters also. I‘ve tried it with chunky glitter and while it eventually works, it wouldn’t be my first choice. The glitter also rips the sponge slightly so when you take your finger out there’s bits of sponge all over it!

This remover also contains nourishing sweet almond oil. This makes it smells nice and coats your nails/fingers in a slight oil to help prevent them drying out.
I love this remover for when I’m in a rush. No need for multiple cotton pads or faffing about. Stick it in and away you go!

However, like most products there is a downside. For me, I find that despite the addition of the nourishing oil, the skin surrounding my nails has become incredibly dry. My cuticles became quite sore and I’ve being trying to mend them! This happened after solely using this remover for about a week (I got lazy and wasn’t bothered using remover with cotton pads!). I definitely just have to keep this remover for when I really am in a rush - dried and sore cuticles aren’t worth the convenience.  This probably won’t be an issue for most people unless you change your polish nearly daily like me.

Next up is the pricy one. Chanels Nail Colour Remover, at £13, it is quite frankly a ridiculous price for nail polish remover. I would much rather spend the money on Chanel polish than remover! It’s such a blah product to buy. However, I’d heard it mentioned that it was a good remover for polish that tends to stain. And it is. Polish comes off extremely easy with this and I also discovered that is very adept at removing glitter polish. A few swipes and it comes of nicely. This remover also smells amazing. It doesn’t smell like a normal remover at all. More like a gentle, sweet, smell.

The only downside is the price of it. And that it comes in a glass bottle so if you’re clumsy...well then.  As it is so expensive I only use this remover for deep staining polishes like dark blues and reds and for some glitters. It’s not something that I want to have to repurchase frequently but it is something I would pay money for again.

Finally comes my usual duo. I bought the Zoya Remove+ just for the pump bottle. I wanted a pump bottle and couldn’t find one anywhere. Of course a week after the bottle arrived I found one in a beauty supply store. Isn't that always the way. Anyway, the Zoya Remover was fine but nothing spectacular enough for me to go and repurchase. I just buy either a Sally Hansen or Cutex remover in Boots (I think it’s a Sally Hansen one in the Zoya bottle at the moment) and refill the bottles. I don’t have any preference for either of the types within those brands, I usually get something different each time.

I have tried the super cheap Boots/Tesco stuff before but I didn’t find it any good so I stick to the Sally Hansen and Cutex stuff. I also have a huge bottle of pure Acetone but I keep that for slight clean-up around the nails as I think it would be too harsh to use continuously on my nails/fingers.

Do you have preferences for nail polish removers or do you just use whatever’s handy?

My Ultimate Foundation?! Dior Forever Foundation

Like a lot of people I am continuously on the search for the perfect foundation. Since my skin went crazy on me about a year ago, I've needed a foundation with more coverage than I used to need. Thankfully my skin has calmed down a lot but there is still a lot of redness/scarring that remains that needs covering.
However, I detest the feel of being caked in make-up and the feel of heavy coverage foundation on my skin. A bit of a pickle one might say. Where could I find decent coverage foundation that was also lightweight?

Enter my sample box. A while ago I did this post on all the samples I had that I needed to use up. Amongst them were foundation samples, including a sample of Dior's Forever Foundation. I decided to try it on a day when I was just going to be around the house and just as well I did because it turned out to be around 3 shades too dark for me!

Regardless of the shade issue, I was amazed by how the foundation looked. It glided over my skin easily erasing all the spots, scars and redness that blemished my skin. My face looked dewy, fresh and clear. The closest I have ever gotten to making my skin look flawless. And the best part? It felt like I had no make-up on whatsoever.
And it smells amazing! I'm not the best at describing scents but it smells slightly floral? not overpowering but a scent that makes me feel happy when I apply it.

After the success of the sample, I went to my local Dior counter the next day to test out some shades. My shade is 010 which of course they were sold out of and weren't going to be getting back in stock for a while. So I ordered off House of Fraser and had it within a few days. It cost me £29 so it is a pricy foundation, but one I feel is definitely worth the money.

010 is still slightly dark but my face is darker than my inner arm which is shown here.

I am nearly at the end of the bottle now and will I re-purchase? Hell yea! It is just an unbelievable foundation. I don't think I will limit myself to only that foundation for the rest of my life as there are others I've been itching to try like NARS Sheer Glow, but it will be a constant in my make-up bag.

Do you have a Holy Grail foundation?

Review: Kiehls Cucumber Toner

I've tried toner on and off over the years but because my skin is what I consider to be dry and at times sensitive, sometimes toner is just a little bit too strong and abrasive on my skin.

However, I like the fact that toner completely cleans your face of cleanser and preps your skin well for the application of moisturiser.

When I read up on toners that would be suitable for dry and sensitive skin, it was this Kiehls Cucumber one that seemed to be a firm favourite.

The good points: It doesn't irritate my skin. I have found that other toners sting my skin and generally feel very uncomfortable for quite a few minutes after use. The Kiehls one feels a little tingly and refreshing on my skin.

The bad points: For some this may be a deal breaker but it does have a funny smell. Now, I'm not somebody who is easily offended by product smells but this one did surprise me. I don't detest it so much that I won't use it but it did take me a few uses to get accustomed to it. And I can't even describe what it smells like but it's certainly not cucumber! I've been sitting here for the last few minutes smelling it trying to get some word to describe it but the only word I can come up with is strange!

I don't usually use this more than once a day and I don't necessarily use it every day, usually every 2-3 days simply because I don't think my skin would handle using a toner that often.

This is a great toner for people who don't need one every day and are looking for something that will be gentle on their skin compared to alcohol based toners.

Hype Review: Tweezermans

I have used tweezers for my eyebrows since I was about 12 or 13 and I think I can safely say all of us have at least one pair of tweezers that are used on a regular basis.

I’ve used generic tweezers for years, finding some better than others. I’ve always heard great things about the Tweezermans but their steep €20+ price tag in Boots always put me off buying them.

Eventually last Summer in the US I caved and bought a pair justifying it by assuming it was working out cheaper in dollars. (Which it was).

Was I disappointed when I tried them? Was I ecstatic thinking they were the best things ever? Thankfully I was the latter. I find the Tweezermans to be very precise and are a gem at catching those teeny hairs that drive you insane normally.

I have them almost a year now and I don’t feel that they are blunt at all. They are still as sharp as when I first started using them.

Are they really worth the price tag? To me, yes. If you solely tame your eyebrows by tweezing and don’t wax or thread they are definitely a good investment. If you use other methods mainly and only use a tweezer to maintain your brows between sessions you might not want to spend that much on them.

Hype Review: Origins VitaZing

VitaZing and the Laura Mericer tinted moisturiser are probably the 2 most talked about and hyped up tinted moisturisers on blogs and YouTube. I went for VitaZing.

VitaZing is a lovely fresh feeling tinted moisturiser. It is very lightweight feeling product and the coverage is surprisingly good for a tinted moisturiser. It helps even out the skin tone and leaves a lovely glowing finish to the skin.

All this said, I haven’t used VitaZing that much. Why? I suppose it’s mainly because when I first got this my acne was still quite alive and I just didn’t feel comfortable with my face so exposed. However, now that my skin has improved a great deal and we are coming into summer, I will be wearing this a lot more. It is ideal for lazy days when you don’t need a full face of make-up. I also think it is perfect  for when you are on your holidays.

Is it worth the hype? Surprisingly yes. I mean it didn’t completely rock my world and I think you need to either have decent skin or be very comfortable with your skin to wear this alone. But it does leave a beautiful, glowing finish to your face, which is where I believe the hype for it comes from.

Foundation Review: Chanel Perfection Luminére

I could not wait to get my hands on this foundation when I heard it was going to be released. I thought it would make my skin look amazing.

In reality? It’s alright. One of the main issues is that it is a tad too dark for me so really it is easier for me to wear this as a night out foundation.
Another problem is that is can go slightly patchy by the end of the day if my skin doesn’t feel like acting appropriately with it.

However there are positives to it, which shows how good a foundation it can be.
The coverage is good. It provides a very flawless base that can make you skin indeed seem ‘perfect’. Even though it is of a thicker consistency it does apply and blend out easily.

My final thoughts? It’s a good foundation that will work amazingly well for some people. I find it okay for me and I will eventually get through the bottle but I won’t however be in a rush to re-purchase it, even in a lighter shade.

Have you tried the Perfection Lumiére? Did it work for you?

Review: Kiehls Pineapple Papaya Facial Scrub

As I’ve harped on about the last few months, I’ve been trying to perfect my skincare routine.
Another item that I feel is vital in my routine is a good facial scrub. My skin can get dry and flaky so a scrub is needed to get rid of that dead and scaly skin. I’ve tried numerous scrubs in the past but so far, this Kiehls Pineapple Papaya one is my favourite.

Some scrubs can be very harsh and abrasive which can leave my face feeling a bit sore and raw. What I love about the Kiehls one is that it is very creamy.  This results in it scrubbing the skin very softly and gently while still managing to get rid of the dead skin.

There isn’t an overpowering scent from it, just a very faint fruity scent.

Price wise it is £24 for 100ml from House of Fraser, which is steep but it will last you ages as you only need a small piece for each use.

I use this 2-3 times a week and I have found it has made a difference to my skin. More importantly, I can put on my moisturiser after using it without it stinging raw skin!!

Review: Bio-Oil

I feel that Bio-Oil is the one product that I've heard the most recommendations for use on scars and stretch marks.

What is it? "The Bio-Oil formulation combines some of the most important skincare ingredients, these include vitamin A and E with Calendula, Lavender, Rosemary and Chamomile oils, plus unique to Bio-Oil, a revolutionary ingredient, PurCellin Oil™, to ensure they are easily-absorbed deep into the second main layer of the skin where they can provide targeted treatment.  PurCellin Oil™ is a breakthrough ingredient, which dramatically lowers the viscosity (stickiness and density) of the formulation to create a “dry” oil which is non-greasy."  (You can read even more here.)

One great thing that I have found about Bio-Oil is that it really is non-greasy like it claims to be. I hate the way some face oils make you feel slathered in oil and practically slimy! This definitely has a nice feel to it. Another plus is the soothing and gentle scent it has, which, I presume stems from the oils in the ingredients like Lavender, Chamomile and Rosemary.

What else can it do? Bio-Oil can be used to improve scars, stretch marks, uneven skin tone, aging skin and dehydrated skin.

How did it work: I first used Bio-Oil years ago when it first came out and was hailed as a wonder product for stretch marks. At the time I had stretch marks that most teenagers seem to get after going through a growth-spurt. I used Bio-Oil on those stretch marks and it really seemed to help reduce them, although they were probably starting to naturally fade as well.

More recently, I have being using Bio-Oil for dry skin on my face, in particular my cheeks. I feel that this is one of the uses of Bio-Oil that people often overlook, instead solely associating it for use with stretch marks/scars.

I like to apply it just before I go to sleep, after giving my moisturiser sufficient time to soak in. I have found that by doing this my skin has become way softer and much less flaky.
As most of you know, I have been trying to achieve my ultimate skin care regime to get my skin in order and I feel that the Bio-Oil has definitely made a difference. Not only has it reduced the dryness of my skin, it has also helped to reduce the redness of the old acne scars.

Price: It retails for €11.68 for the small bottle in Boots.

Availability: Boots, most pharmacies nationwide.

I was sent a bottle of Bio-Oil by their PR company.

Hype Review: Shu Uemura Eyelash Curlers

The Shu Uemura eyelash curlers are often referred to as some of the best eyelash curlers out there. At first I wondered could expensive curlers really do that much of a better job than some cheapo ones from Boots.

They were always in the back of mind but I never actively sought them out. When I stumbled across them in Brown Thomas (I wasn't even aware there was a Shu Uemura counter there) I bit the bullet and bought them.

What they do: Curl your eyelashes to a natural flair.

Did they work: Yes! I was seriously surprised that I found a noticeable difference between using the Shu Uemura ones and my old cheap curlers. My old ones barely curled my lashes at all. Not to mention previous curlers I've owned which have successfully 'curled' my lashes in to perfect 90 degree right angles.
The Shu Uemura eyelash curlers brought a nice, natural curl to my lashes. I even found that mascara applied better to my lashes after using them.

Availability: You can get them from the Shu Uemura counter in Brown Thomas

Price: €24.50

Hype Worthiness: They definitely live up to the hype. They make a nice difference to your lashes but they are not a ground-breaking miracle. There is plenty of products that you could spend €24.50 on that would  improve your beauty regime more.

Hype Review: Boscia Black Mask

The Boscia Black Mask is a peel-off luminizing mask. I read a lot of rave reviews of this product and as I was in the middle of sorting out my skin I decided it was a good time to give it a go.

What is it: It’s a peel-off mask that is indeed jet black. It says it's a mask 'that boosts skin clarity and radiance. Removes dirt and impurities while refining the look of pores. Reveals a smoother, brighter complexion'.

A drop of the good stuff

How to use it: You smooth the facemask on to clean, dry skin and allow it to dry for about 20 minutes. Unfortunately it doesn’t peel off in one fell swoop so you will have to peel it off in bits. For this reason prepare for a bit of mess in the sink. Any stubborn bits that you can’t peel off will wash away very easily with water. I wouldn’t say peeling it off hurts as such, but there is a slight ‘peeling of a plaster effect’, though it’s not as severe.

Availability: As far as I’m aware it isn’t available in Ireland. I bought the travel sized one off eBay just to test it out. The Boscia website will deliver to Ireland though.

Price: It cost me $19.06 including shipping from eBay for a 1oz bottle.

Did it work: This stuff is incredible! Whilst I wasn’t sceptical about using it, I wasn’t expecting a miracle either. But wow, never have I gotten up in the morning after using a skin product the previous night and actually go ‘wow’ when I look at myself in the mirror. This is what happened the morning after I used the Boscia Black Mask. My skin looked so incredibly clear, especially around my jaw area, which had being cluttered with the dead remains of spots. Now, obviously it didn’t rid my skin of those but it certainly lightened the redness and just brought an overall clearness to my skin and yes, even a bit of luminosity. When I showed my mum she gave the same type of reaction – surprised and saw a noticeable difference. A difference which literally happened over night.

Hype Worthiness: It hits it out of the park. I never expected it to be this good. A definite must have in your skincare routine.

Hype Review: Bioderma Créaline H2O

This is the first review that I've done in relation to this post on products I've bought due to the hype.

Now I must admit the Bioderma hype went slightly over my head in the sense that I only became aware of it a few months ago. I read a blog post on it, was extremely interested and as I began to research it, I realised that people were going crazy for it.

What is it?: Bioderma is a French brand and the particular product that people went wild for is a micellar cleansing solution that very gently removes eye and face make-up. While some have said that it's just expensive water, I found it did better than any other make-up remover that I've tried.

How did it do?: You can slightly feel the oil in the solution but it does not leave a greasy residue. It hasn't irritated my skin or dried it out. In fact, it leaves it very soft. I was concerned about using it on my eyes, as a lot of eye make-up removers leave my eyes stinging and watering. However, I have encountered zero problems with using Bioderma on my eyes. It removes my make-up very effectively. I pour some on to an oval cotton pad (they are generally bigger than the regular round cotton pads). I find that for my usual day make-up this is sufficient, however, if it's night out make-up I may need to use two of the cotton pads.

Availability: Unfortunately, Bioderma isn't the easiest to find in Ireland but I successfully ordered it from this eBay seller who specializes in French Beauty brands. Shipping was quick and it came securely packaged.

Price:  I paid £18.20 (around €21) including shipping. It is quite pricy but you do get a reasonable   amount of product.

Hype Worthiness: Did it live up to the hype? Absolutely.

Bioderma is now a firm part of my skincare routine and I will definitely be re-purchasing it.

Review: Vichy Aera Teint Pure Foundation

I bought this foundation after I had problems with the Catrice one I was using.

Colour: I bought the shade 23 Clair Ivory. It's not orange!

Scent: Lightly scented - vaguely reminds me of something sweet, but not in a bad way. (I detest scents in beauty products that smell like candyfloss or 'frosted cupcakes' etc.)

Blob of foundation
Coverage: It blends seamlessly into my skin. The coverage is what I would consider medium coverage but it is buildable without becoming cakey. It is a very light, moisturising foundation, that leaves a natural, slightly dewy finish. The swatch is on my inner arm (extra pale!!) so the colour does look better on my face.

Blended out
Durability: I found that it lasted a good 8-10 hours before it started to wilt.

Price: It was around €18 for a 30ml bottle

Overall: I found this foundation to be very gentle on the skin. It was just what I needed after my skin was so upset after using the Catrice one. What a contrast the Vichy one is. I find that it is a comfort to my skin and perfect to use on days that my skin simply feels tired and drained and worn out from dry skin.

This is definitely what I now consider 'my skin is sick but I still need to wear foundation' foundation. I can see myself always having a bottle of this to hand, even if I don't continuously use it as my everyday foundation.

Have you used any of the Vichy skincare or make-up products? What did you think?

Review: Revlon Lip Butter in Peach Parfait

I caved. I just couldn't help it. I couldn't wait any longer to try out a Revlon lip butter. I certainly didn't want to wait until April to be able to get them here. And so I went to eBay.

For my first foray into the world of the much hyped Revlon Lip Butters I decided to only purchase one. The chosen one was Peach Parfait.

(It came completely sealed thankfully!)

Peach Parfait is deeper than a nude.  It really was as surprisingly pigmented as everybody says.

The colour.

Did I like it?: Yes. I found it to be moisturising with good colour pay-off. The colour wasn't extremely long-lasting but after all it is essentially a tinted lip balm so I wasn't exactly expecting 24 hours worth of wear time. The only gripe I had was that I could slightly feel the gritty texture from the small amount of glitter in it. However, I think that was only because of the shade it was and that not all of them will be like that.

Cost: $14.50 including shipping from eBay. Roughly converts to €11, which is what I've heard they will be priced at here.

Re-purchase: Definitely. However, now that I have one I'm content enough to wait until I can buy more here, seeing as I won't even be saving any money.

Have you tried any of the lip butters? Are you excited for the launch of them here or are you just a bit meh with the whole thing?

Review: Catrice Perfect Resist Foundation

Unlike yesterdays Catrice post, this one isn't as favourable

One word: Horrendous.

Allow me to expand. My foundation ran out and while I was waiting for the new Chanel Perfection Lumiere foundation to launch I needed something to tide me over. Seeing as the Chanel one was going to cost €44 I didn't particularly want to spend too much on another foundation that I might only use for a couple of weeks.

One of my favourite budget nail polish comes from Catrice and as I'd only ever used their concealer (and liked it)  I decided I may as well give their foundation a try. At €6.99 for the 'Perfect Resist' one, it was worth a shot.

I picked the shade 010 Perfect Nude as it was lightest shade and I am quite pale. It is orange. Not just a bit dark. Proper orange orange. I decided to compare some other foundations that I was about to throw out and some my mum had.

L-R Vichy Aera Teint in 35, Catrice Perfect Resist in 010 Perfect Nude, Bobbi Brown Skin Foundation in Porcelain, Revlon PhotoReady in 003 Shell Coquillage and Bourjois 10 Hour Sleep Effect in 72.

It's hard to see in the photos but the Catrice one is a lot oranger than any of the darker ones in real life

The orange is a bit more obvious here. (2nd from top).

Next is the scent. It is a very heavily perfumed product. It's not that I don't like the smell - it is a kind of comforting scent, kind of like your granny but it also reminded me a lot of the heavy stage make-up I used to wear when I was younger in drama plays and stuff. I think it's more that the product scent lingers and nearly overpowers.

The coverage was great, the formula fine albeit I felt the consistency was just a bit too sticky for my liking. Wear time was very long-lasting.

So what's wrong with it apart from the colour you ask? Well after 4-5 days of usage, it pretty much savaged my skin. Yes, my skin is dry and sometimes can feel a bit 'tight' after using some products but never have I experienced the reaction this created.

It basically burned the skin on my cheeks over the few days until I had two raw sore patches up high on my cheekbones. My left cheek and eye swelled up. When I removed my eye make-up and all my face make-up you could quite clearly see the faint burn mark rings going above my eyebrows and down around my cheeks.

It took about a week for the patches to heal and smooth over. This involved using a thick soothing moisturiser, sudocream, copious amounts of olive oil and bio-oil. I used to dread taking off my make-up in the evening as my cleanser made it sting and even water made it sting. I always ended up gritting my teeth while removing it! (And I had to go to work every day so there was no way I could go make-up free to let my skin breathe and heal during the day).

I suppose I should have been quicker off the mark and stopped using it sooner but to be honest my skin has being going ape on me the last while with breakouts etc. that I just thought it was an extension of that. However, once I figured out it was the new foundation I stopped using it, obviously.

This isn't going to happen everybody I assume, I'm sure for some people it is their holy grail foundation. I really don't know why my skin took such a reaction to it (And I'm assuming it was the foundation because nothing else changed and it started to heal when I stopped using it) as my skin has never taken a reaction that bad to a product before but I suppose there's a first for everything. I just know I'll be weary of using any of their foundations again! On a positive note, the foundation that I picked up to replace it (I still wasn't able to get the Chanel one) is Aera Teint by Vichy and I found it really soothing and nice to use on my sore skin. I will probably do a full review on it.

Anybody else experience anything like this with a Catrice foundation?

Anastasia of Beverly Hills Beauty Express Brow Kit

To me, eyebrows are a very important feature simply because they frame your face. I definitely tend to do my eyes up a lot more than my lips on a daily basis and as a result of this I've taken to filling in my brows on a daily basis. I probably started doing this about a year and a half ago, and to be honest I would consider it part of my regular make-up routine. I feel very bare without them filled in now, as I do like a defined brow. I've noticed as well since starting to fill them in, just how patchy they are. To be honest I don't know if it's because I'm just so accustomed to them being so defined that they seem patchier or if they genuinely were always patchy!
All that said, if I'm running very late, doing my brows is the first thing to be forgotten about!

When I first started filling in my brows, I used an eyebrow pencil and then I graduated to to using a brow powder, namely the Urban Decay Brow Box.  (Which I love!) I used that for nearly a year but for the past couple of months I've been trying out the Anastasia Brow Kit, which was sent to me by a PR company.

They are an American based company 'Anastasia has long been the definitive eye and brow expert for icons such as Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Oprah as well as hip up-and-comers like Diana Agron, Selena Gomez and Kristen Cavalari and has recently expanded into colours that match their superior standards for skincare based cosmetics.'

I was interested in this Brow kit, as it contained some of those fancy eyebrow stencils, which was something I'd wanted to try out.

The outer packaging

The little kit itself

The kit comes with 5 stencils, a brow wax, 2 brow filler colours, 2 eyeshadow colours and a slanted brush. There are also instructions on the lid itself.

The lid opened

Close up of the wax, brow colours and shadows

The 5 stencils

I like the way that it's a very 'get-up-and-go' kit. I think the inclusion of an eyeshadow duo that can be used on the eyelid and as a highlight, is a brilliant idea, it really makes it become more versatile and more than just a brow kit. You could definitely use the brow colours as eyeshadow as well so essentially you could throw this kit into your bag along with some mascara and that could be your eyes sorted. The kit that I was sent was the Brunette one but there is also a Blonde one available.

The slanted brush it comes with is actually very good. It's firm and it hasn't shed yet. The brow colours are good (I mix them) but I did find them a little difficult to blend into my eyebrow, in comparison to my Urban Decay one. The lasting effect during the day was faultless and the wax was nice and soft and kept them in place without being too hard.
The eyeshadow duo was nice to apply, very buttery soft, and gave a subtle glow to the eyes.

And onto possibly the main feature of the kit - the stencils. I used the petite arch one. I felt that most of them were very large but I imagine that is so that they cater for a wider variety of people. Were the stencils good? They were good but for me personally I feel that they are just a little bit too fiddly to use on a daily basis. I'd be more inclined to use them on a night out.

Before - Completely bare eyes and eyebrows.

After - Eyebrows filled in, eyeshadow duo on lid and brow bone, mascara.

Anastasia has been around for a while in the States and I don't think its available here just yet, but as far as I know, they are planning to branch out internationally.

Mini Review: China Glaze Island Escape

I bought three colours from China Glazes Summer collection - Island Escape. There's a total of 6 colours in the collection and they are all brilliantly bright and colourful, perfect for summer.

I found that the formulation of all of the 3 that I have was quite thin/watery. I don't remember this issue with any other China Glazes that I've tried. Like this was literally running off my nail as I tried to spread it around! (And I was removing excess polish on the opening of the bottle.) When it first happened I just thought this is going to be a disaster but despite this, the varnish dries really quick and opaque. All the pictures are just two coats. The varnish was really shiny on it's own and was easy to remove despite a slight grittiness due to shimmer.
I love all the colours and am very tempted to get the other 3!

Senorita Bonita - A purple shimmer

Paypaya Punch - A bright orange but not quite neon

108 Degrees - A gorgeous pink shimmer with slight blue reflects.
