New Stuff From Penneys (Primark)

I wandered into Penneys one of the evenings after work last week and as I nearly always do, came out with a few new bits. They had some lovely pieces in, so I was actually quite restrained with my purchases for change!

First up is this colourful top. I love how bright it is and it is just nice and casual to throw on over jeans. It was €7.

As soon as I saw this top, I fell in love with it. A casual, stripy, ombre kind of top, it's the perfect 'beach' look. Loose and comfy. It came in this deeper rose pink shade but also in a bright pink version. It is sheer, so you need to wear a cami underneath.  This was €9.

I spied this dress a while back but never got around to getting it. It is a light material, with a little cinched in waist. I'm not sure if I like the belt, I might add a different one. I love the ruffle detail at the top and it's nice to get a dress with a low neckline. So many dresses I've seen lately are completely covered up and tight around the neck. Hate the feeling of it! Even though it's black, I think it's a lovely summer dress and can easily be brightened up with colouful accessories. It cost €9.

The last two items I got were shoes. They have such a great selection of shoes in there at the moment!
The first pair I got were the raspberry deck shoes. They are so comfy and cute and perfect for an Irish summer. They had them in navy as well but none left in my size when I was there but hopefully they'll get them back in. They cost €13.
The last pair of shoes I got were a pair of rose-gold flats. I actually think my eyes lit up when I saw these haha. I'm so in love with rose-gold these days, it's just so pretty! These were between €6-€9, I can't rightly recall and I already have the tags off.

Have you picked up anything nice any Penney's lately?

Lunch Hour Shopping Dash!

This past week at work was pretty hectic so I made the most of my lunch hour on 2 of the days by doing a little bit of shopping. I usually buy most of my make-up and stuff online so I hardly ever just go into the shops any more.  I've put myself on an online shopping ban since last week though (about time too, I went a little overboard the week previous) and it's going to last the next 2 weeks as I'm visiting friends in Dublin then so I want to save for that:)

Firstly I went to Penney's. I only had time to look through the accessories section but I had a quick glance over at the clothes and there seemed to be a few nice bits in. Anybody pick anything up recently?

I saw this bag (€13) and even though it's relatively similar to the one featured in my 'what's in my bag' post, it is larger and more structured.

I love scarves  and I don't have many with designs or imprints on them so I thought this cream scarf (€11) with navy anchors will be perfect for spring. The bracelets (€5) caught my eye because of the larger ones delicate floral pattern.

I went into Boots needing some dry shampoo and a volumising root spray. There was an offer on Umberto Giannini products (3 for €14) so I got what I needed as well as a hair mask which certainly won't do any harm!

Also in Boots I got another of my favourite lip glosses, Revlon's Gold Dust. (€7 on offer from €11). I also wanted to use up another No7 voucher so I got a nail varnish in Milani (€1.95) I still have 2 vouchers to use! I also stopped by the Chanel counter to get the new foundation, Perfection Lumiére (€44) The Spring collection was also there and I couldn't help but get a nail varnish in June (€21.50) Thankfully I had a voucher that covered the bulk of the Chanel purchases!

Anybody else do a little shopping during their lunch break?:)

A Mini Haul - Boots and Pennys (Primark)

A little bit of a random haul that I did last week and kept meaning to post but didn't get a chance to.

From Penny's I got the most gorgeous little white lantern for tea lights. I love having candles burning and this suits my room. It was only €4 and when I got to the till they had a set of 30 tea lights in yellow, greens and blues for only €2.50, always good to have a supply of them:) I don't have a separate photo but you can see them easily enough in the main one.

Next in Boots I got some E45 hand cream which I like to use at night when I put on my funky white cotton gloves to help hand cream and cuticle cream sink into my hands overnight. I like it because it's a really thick consistency. I also picked up a packet of Perfectil. I've used it before and I find it works and I just want to give my skin a boost before summer.

Boots are having a 3 for 2 on cosmetics at the moment so I decided to use it has an opportunity to pick up some more lip products. I got another Revlon Colourburst lipgloss in Strawberry and it's a beautiful bright pink.

The main item that I went into Boots for was a 17 lipstick in Beehive. I saw this on Saloule's blog and fell in love with it and just had to get it! It is the perfect 'my lips but better' colour.
I also got a red because I don't really have any red lipsticks and wanted to try one out. This one is called Hollywood and is what I would call a juicy red. While it is definitely red, it's not a mad bright pillarbox red. It's more sedate. I wore it out last week and I got so many compliments so I will definitely be wearing red lips more often!

So that's it for my little haul. I have to go to Dublin tomorrow and as I'm trying to save I really shouldn't be shopping - I mightn't even have time to - but I'll probably make a dash to MAC as the Surf Baby collection is out in the UK and I want to see if it's available here yet. And it is limited edition. Hmmm we'll see what happens.....
