Golden Green E.O.T.D.

This is a quick and easy green/gold slightly smoky look that can be easily worn during the day.

To get this look I:

  • Applied UDPP in Eden all over the lid.
  • Used Maybelline Colour Tattoo in On and On Bronze over 3/4 of the lid.
  • Used Catrice eyeshadow pen in Precious Nectar on the inner quarter of the lid.
  • Packed No7 Golden Leaf eyeshadow on 3/4 of the lid and up into the crease.
  • Placed L'oreal Infallible shadow in Iced Latte on the inner quarter of the lid.
  • MAC Mineralized Eyeshadow in Universal Appeal was ran through the crease.
  • MAC eyeshadow in Brulé was applied under the brow bone.
  • NYX eyeliner in Jewel was used on the lower lash liner and waterline.
  • Essence Liquid eyeliner in Black was used to line the upper lash line.
  • Finally Benefit's They're Real mascara was applied.

I was really pleased with this eye look, especially as I was trying to use products that have been a bit neglected such as the No7 eyeshadow.

No7 Dollar

Another incredible shade from No7. Dollar is a luscious green and I might even go as far to say that it is my perfect green.

Great formula and opaque in 2 coats. Heart it.

No7 Poolside Blue

Another amazing colour by No7. This was one coat! Yes, just one!

A gorgeous blue that does indeed invoke visions of laying by a pool, in sunny climates.

No7 Betty Blues

No7 Betty Blues. I knew this was going to be a dark one, but I didn’t expect it to look nearly black on the nail! I still like it though.

A blackened - navy with shimmer, what’s not to like? And opaque in one coat. Score!

My Autumn 2012 Nail Polish Picks

It's so hard to believe that it's Autumn again and time for my nail polish picks of the season! I decided to do Autumn and Winter separately this year unlike last year
I love Autumn. Early Autumn, late Autumn, turning into winter Autumn. The months September to December rock.

I've chosen 8 polishes that I plan to wear quite a lot over the next few months. (As always, I wear any colour polishes at any time of year but I'm still naturally drawn to seasonal colours).

This year's oranges are China Glaze's Riveting and Kiko 112. Riveting is unbelievable. The ultimate Halloween polish.

The greens are China Glaze Peace on Earth, one of my favourites greens (it was in last year's picks as well!) and a new Essie polish in Stylenomics. It's a deep, murky green, much darker than the photo is showing it to be.

What would an Autumn polish pick be without a brown. This year's choice is Chanel's Particulére. The ultimate, classy brown. Also in the photo is Orly's Rage. Even though it's a rose-gold kind of shade it just feels perfect to include.

And finally some vampy purples. OPI's Vampsterdam and No7's Blackberry are 2 that I cannot wait to keep on wearing.

What shades are you most drawn to this time of year?

No7 Me! Me! Me!

No7 Me! Me! Me! is a bright summery pink. A straight-out creme finish, it's a real barbie type pink. It was opaque in two coats.

The type of shade that can never fail to make you smile:)

No7 Spun Sugar

No7 Spun Sugar was, I believe one of my first No7 nail polishes. I don't think I even used a €7.50 off voucher to buy it!

It is a bronzey golden colour and was opaque in two coats. It really does remind me of spun sugar, it's very luxurious looking, nearly silken.

It had a slight gritty texture to it when it dried but nothing that a topcoat wouldn't sort out.

No7 Milan

No7's Milan is one of my favourite No7 polishes. Hell, I think it's one of my favourite polishes ever!

It's a frosty toned pink with a kind of silvery shimmer running through it.
It applied like a dream, this is two coats.

I love wearing this polish, it's the kind of polish that makes you keep second-glancing at your nails. If you're like me, this is maybe not the best polish to wear if you have a busy day at work as you might waste a lot of time admiring your nails, ha!

My Summer 2012 Nail Polish Picks

It's the 1st of June so what better way to celebrate Summer, than show some of the polishes I will be wearing on my nails. I will still wear a lot of the pastel shades that I showed in my Spring picks but on a scorching hot Summer's day all I want to wear on my nails is bright, bright colours.

L-R Dior Rivera, China Glaze Papaya Punch, No7 Tangy and Models Own Tropical Sun.

L-R No7 Cheeky Chops and Sally Hansen Wavelength.

L-R Revlon Beach and POP Yellow

L-R China Glaze Towel Boy Toy, Chanel Coco Blue, Wet n Wild Caribbean Frost and China Glaze Turned Up Turquoise.

I love the look of the China Glaze Neons collection as well, I'm definitely going to get some of them to wear this Summer when they're available.

What are some of your favourite Summer polishes?

No7 Very Petal

Just looking at this polish makes me smile! This is Very Petal from No7 and it's a super bright, happy pink.

It's a very opaque, creme polish. Definitely a pink I want to wear lots of this summer!

My Easter Mani!

I hope everybody is having a good Easter weekend and isn't too sick after eating too many eggs!

Isn't this such a cute Easter design? I can't lay claim to it unfortunately, I saw it on Cosmetic Cupcake's blog during the week. (This post) As soon as I saw it I knew I had to re-create it this weekend. I put it on yesterday and a few people guessed what it was supposed to be! (Even when I didn't have the creme egg!)

I would have preferred a stronger, more definite yellow but this was the darkest yellow I had.

My poor nail on my index finger is still a bit stubby looking after a bad break:( Really need to re-shape my nails as well but I wanted to keep as much length as I could for this design!

The polishes I used for this was:

  • No7 Salsa over the entire nail (Red)
  • Essie Sexy Divide diagonally on the top of the nail (Purple)
  • China Glaze Icicle as a dividing line between red and purple (Silver)
  • OPI Fiercely Fiona for the splat and dots (Yellow)

Once again check out Cosmetic Cupcake's blog, she has some great designs:)

Did you do an Easter mani this year?

A Little Bit Of No7 Love!

Ah those wonderful No7 vouchers that Boots are so fond of giving out. I got so many around January time and ended up getting all nail varnish with them. Here are some of my favourites.

Vivid Violet.
A beautiful royal purple. No blue tint.

Tangy.
 A delectable bright orange.

Totally Teal.
A moody darkened teal. Kind of grungy.

Highland Mist.
Darker than your usual nude but not yet a pink. Unusual looking but elegant.

Do you usually avail of the No7 vouchers or do they remain crumpled at the bottom of your purse until you find them months after expiry? This used to happen me a lot hah!
