Barbara Daly Panache

Panache is a polish I picked up in my pre-addiction days. It’s the only one I have from the Barbara Daly line. I remember buying it late at night in Tesco the week of St Patrick’s Day because I had no green polish in my collection (oh, the horror) and I wanted to have green nails going to college that week.

I chose Panache because it was subtler than a blinding bright green. A beautiful, deep and rich green with hints of black it’s a polish I’ve neglected a lot since then. Which is a shame because it is stunning on and so easy to wear.

Nail Polish Collection: Breakdown Part 1

Happy Saturday! I hope everybody is enjoying the weekend so far, I'm just back from eating out for lunch, was yummy and a perfect way to spend a Saturday afternoon!

Today marks the first in a series of new posts - a more detailed look at my nail varnish collection. Every Saturday for the next few weeks I will put up a post of my nail varnish collection. Some weeks it will be an entire brand, other weeks like today, it is just going to be a collection of random polishes, that I might only have one or two from the same brand.
If you are interested it my collection overview, you can see it here and if you click the tab at the top of the page entitled 'Nail Polish Collection', you will find a list of all the nail polish and links to any that I already have individual posts on.

The first line-up

The ones I'm showing you today are all singles and duos from any given brand.

Duos: L-R Kiss No Name Pink and No Name White, 17 Miami and Nightshade, Ciaté Wait Until Dark and Mistress, Bourjois Bleu Délave and Violet Laqué.

31 Day Nail Challenge - Day 10

Day 10

The challenge for today's nails was gradient nails. I was looking forward to this as I've never actually tried gradient nails. I was unsure whether to go for the gradient effect on each individual nail or for each nail to be a solid colour with the gradient working it's way across the hand i.e. lightest colour to darkest. In the end I decided to the gradient on each nail as I felt it would be more of a challenge to me!

The next decision I had to make was which colours to go with! I went for green because it's one of my favourite colours.

I put down a base coat first (Barbara Daly's Panache) and then I started sponging on the first colour (OPI's Jade Is The New Black) When I had that done it didn't really look that good and I was kind of like, this is not going to turn out well! But then I added the final colour (Barry M's Spring Green) and I felt that brought it together :)

For fun I added in a bit of sparkle with China Glaze's Fairy Dust.
